I have not had any time to devote to my future business plans but  have been looking at some of the family antiques that I may decide to post. These are not sentimental pieces, as I would not part with those. Trying to decide whether to put up for auction or have a set price is another consideration. Here is one of the first items I may post. It is a Buffalo Bill Rifle collectible-actually have a set of 2.

You should consider market value, present economic conditions, and sale at a quoted price or at auction. Auctions are ifffy . . . rousing interest could run the price up or a lag could result in a "giveaway". Good luck!

  2. If you choose to sell on ebay, you are able to set the beginning price at a low amount, but also set what's called a reserve. This means you can start the bidding at .99 cents, but you can set your reserve at $100 dollars. If the bid goes above the reserve price, then it sells. But if it doesn't, then it doesn't. You may want to consider the mailing and packaging laws for sending firearms. I'm sure it's going to be more technical than just sending clothing through the mail.

  3. You could always try Craigslist, with a set price. We just sold an old playset, we asked $75 and someone gave us $85!!

  4. I agree with Claire and using Craigslist. That way you will not have to worry about shipping a firearm. We bought my son's nursery furniture on Craigslist. When I had more time I would love to look at things people would sell. Good luck!!

  5. I do like Craigs list but don't want the buyer knowing too much about me, like address, etc. yes there are specific rules on firearms and I did look into it. I also looked at last sale prices of this particular gun and it was $550, I was surprised- and it had been used but was good condition. Mine has never been used.

  7. I still have them, if you are a gun lover and collector they are impeccable. Last year my dad tried to sell them to someone in KY. but they could not work out a deal. Now that my dad is passed I do want to sell them but there are restrictions.
